Soldadura TIG

TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) is a method that has significant benefits and, consequently, is widely used in several industrial sectors.

The quality and reliability of the welds produced through this technique make it appropriate to be used in nuclear and aerospace industries. The high velocities this procedure is capable of achieving make it ideal for industrial pipes manufacturing.

TIG Welding is also a quite flexible method, which allows its application in repair works.

In which materials is TIG Welding applied?

TIG Welding is an automated method which enables to control with precision the heat delivery. Therefore, it is quite recommended not only to thin thickness metals junction (no material addition procedure) but also to laces execution in high-temperature sensitive materials.

The technique is applied to the vast majority of materials, mainly the reactive ones (zircon and titanium) and in aluminum and magnesium. Is even recommended to make welds in leagues (as the nickel ones) and stainless or linked steels.

A constantly evolving technique

The equipment related to TIG Welding is in constant evolution. The increasingly demanding market and in need for high-quality processes forces it.

Nowadays, the systems allow making welding parameters corrections (current intensity, arch extension, etc.) throughout the entire process, thanks to incorporated adaptive control. This device enables the adjustment of several variables since it realizes constant monitoring of laces particularities. With this, it becomes possible to ensure high-quality welding, even when it results in standards changes during the application.

There are also systems that allow inserting devices which ensure the correction of the electrode position and fusion rate. It even indicates when the addition metal should be inserted to the weld.

Invest in your formation and know how to apply this welding technique

Regardless of TIG Welding is widely used, it is fundamental to know the procedure to make high-quality welds. For this reason, there are courses created by Pipe Masters Academy.

In these activities, the students have the possibility to acquire practical and theoretical competencies that will allow them to apply this technique with quality and, above all, with safety. The training is delivered by experienced welders that participate in several national and international Pipe Masters’ jobs. This offers essential added value since the students know in depth the facilities and difficulties in the labour market.
